Eckerd Connects Selected as WIOA Adult and Dislocated Worker Provider and One-Stop Operator for Upstate and Greenville County Workforce Boards

Eckerd Connects has been selected as the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Adult and Dislocated Worker (DW) service provider and One-Stop Operator for both the Upstate Workforce Board and the Greenville County Workforce Development Board (Cherokee, Greenville, Spartanburg and Union counties). This selection marks a significant step forward in strengthening workforce development services across the Upstate region of South Carolina.

Through this partnership, Eckerd Connects will deliver comprehensive employment and training services to adults and dislocated workers, helping individuals gain the skills, credentials, and support needed to secure high-quality employment. As One-Stop Operator, Eckerd Connects will also coordinate service delivery among workforce system partners to ensure seamless, customer-centered access to career resources.

Under WIOA, the Adult and Dislocated Worker programs provide individualized career services, occupational skills training, work-based learning opportunities, and supportive services tailored to participants’ needs. Eckerd Connects will work closely with local employers, education providers, and community organizations to align training investments with in-demand industries and regional workforce priorities.

The Upstate Workforce Board and Greenville County Workforce Development Board play a critical role in guiding workforce strategy, ensuring programs respond effectively to labor market demands and economic growth initiatives.

“Selecting Eckerd Connects reflects our commitment to delivering high-quality workforce services that drive measurable outcomes,” said Dana Hudgins, Upstate Workforce Board Director, representing the workforce boards. “Their experience, innovation, and community-focused approach will enhance service delivery and create stronger pathways to employment for residents across our region.”

Services will be delivered through the SC Works system, providing job seekers and employers with access to career counseling, job placement assistance, hiring events, training resources, and business services.

This partnership reinforces a shared vision: empowering individuals, meeting employer needs, and building a resilient regional economy.
